Pickfords removals Cardiff branch driver picks up ‘Moving with Quality’ award

Cardiff driver Mike Dudding recently won the Pickfords ‘Moving with Quality’ award on the back of his no fuss, highly customer focused approach demonstrated on a recent move to Belfast.

En route to Belfast, Mike was severely delayed due to a closure of the M6 following a serious car accident. This resulted in him missing the ferry that evening, which meant the only option was to catch the 10.30am sailing on the Friday morning. This obviously had a major impact on the delivery schedule for the customer and Mike’s own personal plans for the weekend. Mike’s work ethos is to always put the customer first. In this instance, despite not getting to the delivery address until 7.45pm, he ensured that half of the customer’s effects were unloaded, so that the customer was happy and had beds set up etc. This meant he was not parked up until 9.30pm that evening. The following morning when he went back to finish, he again went the extra mile and assisted the customer further, by re-assembling a new flat packed wardrobe the customer had bought.

An excellent demonstration of how customer service should be delivered. However it is even more applaudable, as the delay meant that he was weekended away from home, and despite the fact that he was scheduled to run a charity 10km race in Cardiff on the Sunday, that he had been in training for 2 months for, Mike did not moan at all. He just accepted that his customer must come first. A marvellous ambassador and a true example of what Moving with Quality is all about!
