Pickfords moves to 21st Century Home
The Board of Moving Services Group UK Limited is pleased to announce today a significant development in its ongoing drive for major improvement in customer service delivery within the Pickfords brand.
Over the next three months the Pickfords Headquarters in Enfield will be relocated to a custom built, state-of-the-art 14 acre operational facility in North West London. This highly mechanised 21st century site will become the new Pickfords flagship centre, providing the very latest in moving technology whilst positioning Pickfords in an even stronger position to meet customer expectations over the coming years.
Pickfords’ Managing Director, Kevin Pickford commented, “this chance, to not only significantly improve our operating base, but also simultaneously to provide substantial efficiencies to support the business during these difficult economic times, is an opportunity which will not be afforded to many companies and one we have to grasp with both hands. Whilst it will be a wrench to leave our ‘spiritual’ home in Enfield, the gains are such that we simply could not resist the opportunity to travel the few miles to North West London.”
It was confirmed that there would be no forced redundancies; indeed the Board was at pains to point out that it would make every effort to ensure that all Pickfords’ staff were encouraged and supported in every way possible to facilitate a smooth transition. “We recognise the vital importance of our highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce and feel confident that they will welcome and embrace this exciting opportunity to move the business forward in 2009, said Kevin.”
Formal consultations and finalisation of the plans will commence shortly and the Board wishes to assure all customers, industry associates and suppliers that this relocation will incur no interruption to business continuity and will serve only to enhance the level of service further.
