Supporting the NSPCC in Cardiff

The NSPCC and Pickfords, the UK's leading national and international removal and storage company announced a new fundraising partnership in July 2010. Pickfords is aiming to raise £50,000 to support the NSPCC's mission to put an end to child cruelty.

Pickfords Cardiff will raise funds by offering its customers the option of donating their unwanted clothing to the NSPCC on move day. Clothes will be collected on move day and taken to the NSPCC's recycling partner, Clothes Aid. Clothes Aid will donate £300 to the NSPCC for every tonne collected. Road safety in Cardiff

As a transport company within Cardiff road safety is a major focus for the local team at Pickfords Cardiff, to ensure the safety of its drivers and other road users.

Liaising with the local council Road Safety department and the local fire brigade, Pickfords Cardiff branch manager recently arranged a ‘Road Safety Day’ at a local primary school. A Pickfords truck was used to highlight to the school children the dangers of large vehicles, and how to keep themselves safe on the roads. The day was a great success and the head teacher thanked Pickfords for their involvement, saying that the staff enjoyed the day as much as the children did! The following articles and photos appeared in the local newspaper, highlighting the success of the day.
