Case study: Legal & General - Office relocation in South East

One of the UK’s leading financial service providers, Legal & General (L&G) provide 6.9 million customers with life insurance, pensions, investments and general insurance plans.

Requirements

Deliver a complete move management service for the relocation of L&G’s Kingswood offices and others in and around South East England.

Provide supply of crates, packing, unpacking, decommissioning, recommissioning of office furniture and IT equipment for between 50 and 200 staff at a time, on an ongoing basis.

Avoid disruption of L&G’s daily operations during the removal process.

Solution

Pickfords Business Solutions worked closely with L&G to understand their business model and project objectives, building a strong relationship based on honest, open communication and a flexible approach to meeting L&G’s needs.

A detailed project plan was produced to manage resources and ensure minimum disruption of L&G’s day-to-day operations. To this end, all moves were scheduled to occur at weekends only.

Pickfords Business Solutions carried out all moves professionally and within the allocated move programmes.

Result

Due to the success of this partnership and Pickfords’ performance during the tendering process, we were appointed L&G’s preferred move management supplier, and was appointed to a 3,500 staff, 7-phase relocation project for the refurbishment of the Kingswood offices, as well as additional moves in Hove, Cardiff and Horley.
