Communications planning

What is the best way to communicate my office move to our staff?

Business relocation is ofent a positive move, a reflection of business growth or expansion.   Change can be unsettling for staff and it is important to keep open lines of communication and to manage the message to avoid the rumour mill taking over.

Define your key messages

Plan four or five key messages which create positive reasons for relocating

These could be:

  • A better working environment for employees

  • A lew location to make it easier to service the company's customers

  • New premises to allow for the future expansion and growth of the company

  • A new premises to accommodate a new 'leaner' organisation to deliver best service to the company's clients

When the message have been defined and agreed,  plan to roll these points out consistently to staff, customers and suppliers.
