Chris Gentry and Don Lyall beat the snow to keep homes moving in Edinburgh

There are many heroes this month but congratulations to Chris Gentry and Don Lyall of Pickfords Edinburgh Branch for ploughing through the snow to keep Pickfords Edinburgh running smoothly!

Chris and Don of Edinburgh Branch receive the 'Moving with Quality' award for their commendable efforts in keeping Pickfords Edinburgh branch running, despite the enormous challenge caused by the heavy snowfall and extreme travelling conditions.

Their nomination highlighted how customer focused they are – their personal life was well down the pegging order of priorities! On Monday 29th Nov, they were aware that the snowfall in Scotland would severely affect the operational capability of Pickfords' Edinburgh branch and that travel to and from work would be problematic.

Without being prompted they both proactively packed a bag of clothes for the week before leaving that morning. A commendable selfless act as they proceeded to stay in the office overnight all week, ensuring that the branch remained fully operational and that customer's moves would continue to happen without disruption from the snow.

Congratulations again to both Chris and Don on their Moving with Quality award.
