 Pickfords recognises that its responsibilities to the environment must be an integral and fundamental part of its business strategy.  We are committed to providing services that sympathetically address environmental matters.

Our business culture

Our commitment to protecting the environment triggered a complete change in the way we work to benefit the environment both in our every day business practice and the service we offer our clients.    Our environmental team has reviewed every aspect of our business practice, from controlling waste, to the cleaning of vehicles and has set new systems in place to minimise the impact these activities have on the environment.

Environmental Management System

Our Environmental Management System is a detailed procedure for the disposal or re-cycling of packing materials, such as cardboard, wood and paper, the use of fuel and the use of utilities at our sites and offices.   The management system has involved new training for staff and new recruits.   Our commitment to the environment resulted in our ISO 14001:2000 accreditation in 2008, an accreditation that is audited externally and reflects our company-wide commitment to best environmental practice.

Re-cycling, re-use and re-integration solutions 

Pickfords Business Solutions has created a new portfolio of services that enables our clients to dispose of unwanted furniture and IT equipment in an environmentally friendly manner with seamless integration into their business relocation or expansion project.
