Moving home can be stressful because the logistics of moving home do not always go according to plan. If purchasing a new property, you will have to exchange, complete and gain access to the keys of your new property and even the best laid plans can sometimes change at the last minute.

To ensure your peace of mind, Pickfords has created some additional services to help you cope with the unexpected.

Late Key Waiver

Sometimes events take place that are out of our control, such as not being able to gain access to your new property at the agreed completion time. If your moving team is delayed due to access issues there will be additional costs for you to bear of £50 plus VAT per hour.

Pickfords is now offering a Late Key Waiver that will provide you with peace of mind if there is a delay in access to your new property.

The Late Key Waiver gives you the flexibility of a three hour waiting time from the completion of your property. This means your Pickfords crew will be on site to complete the removal until 7pm or until the crew has used up its hours according to the Working Time Directive.

For as little as £10 plus VAT you could save £150 of costs due to delayed access.

Cancellation Waiver

In the event of unforeseen circumstances you may have to cancel/postpone the removal after is has been confirmed, making you liable for a cancellation fee. Pickfords cancellation waiver means you have complete flexibility and would not incur an additional charge if your plans change at the last minute.
