Supporting the NSPCC in Newcastle

The NSPCC and Pickfords, the UK's leading national and international removal and storage company announced a new fundraising partnership in July 2010. Pickfords is aiming to raise £50,000 to support the NSPCC's mission to put an end to child cruelty.

Pickfords Newcastle will raise funds by offering its customers the option of donating their unwanted clothing to the NSPCC on move day. Clothes will be collected on move day and taken to the NSPCC's recycling partner, Clothes Aid. Clothes Aid will donate £300 to the NSPCC for every tonne collected. Road safety in Newcastle

As a transport company within Newcastle and the surrounding areas, road safety is a major focus for the local team at Pickfords Newcastle, to ensure the safety of its drivers and other road users.

The team at Newcastle actively take part in road safety workshops within Newcastle, to help teach local 10 -12 year olds about the dangers of large vehicles on the roads, particularly for young cyclists.
