After a string of disappointments at this year's P1 SuperStock Championship, the Pickfords powerboat finally gains some ground at Round 4.
It's been an interesting journey for Team Pickfords (powered by TorFX) at this year's P1 SuperStock so far. After engine troubles, a broken gearbox, and more engine troubles, the powerboat finally had a successful weekend, coming 3rd place in two heats and 1st in another, attaining a personal record of 73 points out of a possible 100.
While the team are pleased to have finished their first round in a strong position, and without any serious damage to the boat, high scores across the board (including an incredible 97 from superstar rivals Quantum Racing) mean that the Pickfords powerboat still lingers near the bottom of the league table. Team Pickfords current succeeds only VisitWales.com, who have endured the worst luck of the tournament, with only a single finishing score of 13 to their name after four rounds.
