Community relations
Pickfords aims to actively engage with its local communities to use its resources, skills and knowledge to achieve both social benefits and lasting relationships.
This involvement goes beyond simple donations to good causes, Pickfords encourages its employees to interact and take part in the communities that support their local branch.
We contribute to the community in various ways
- By championing causes that support children. In 2008 we began supporting the Road Safety Charity 'Brake' and in 2010 we pledged to help end child cruelty by committing to raise £25,000 for the NSPCC and ChildLine.
- Our employees give their personal time, expertise and knowledge to support and benefit local organisations
- By providing transport services to help local community groups achieve their goals
- Sponsorship of local initiatives to benefit local community groups
