The UK's largest moving and storage company has upgraded to modern premises in Manchester this month and has taken a larger space in Britain’s biggest industrial estate, Trafford Park.
Pickfords, which specialises in domestic moving and storage, international removals and office removals has taken 31,000 sq ft of space at The Furrows, Trafford Park.
The site provides contemporary open-plan office space and a secure warehouse with room to expand. The move was pivotal to Pickfords' plans for business growth in Manchester and the North.
The warehouse boasts a mezzanine area for indoor export packing and wrapping and space for nearly 700 storage containers. The site has excellent security features including: 24 hour CCTV and movement and sound activated alarms, and offers first-class security to families and businesses wishing to store locally in Manchester.
Nick Wilkinson, Area Manager at Pickfords Manchester said: "Moving into this unit was essential for Pickfords to upgrade its premises and provide a better working environment for the Manchester team."
"The new location is well connected. We are close to the M60, 30 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Manchester City Centre. We are confident that these improved transport links will help us provide a better service to our customers in Manchester and the North."
An Open Day is planned in late August to showcase the facilities to local businesses.
