Pickfords has detailed procedures for the disposal or re-cycling of:

Removals waste

Pickfords has procedures in place for re-cycling timber from office moves or from the disposal of storage containers and wood and paper from its domestic removals business.   All packing materials provided to our customers are made from re-cyclable materials.

In the office

Office based employees at Pickfords now separate their waste into paper and general waste, cans and plastic bottles.  Procedures for re-cycling printer cartridgesand plastic cups have been established.

 A centralised purchasing policy has been put into place for ordering stationery to reduce unnecessary spend and to review the nature of the products on order and if there are 'greener' alternatives.

A 'think before your print' policy and double sided printing has been adopted where practical to reduce the use of paper, electricity and toner.
