Pickfords wins relocation technology award

Pickfords, has won ‘Best Creative Application of Technology Award’ at the Relocate Awards 2011.

The awards, created by Re:locate Magazine recognize individuals, teams and talent from companies and suppliers within the home removals and business relocation industry. The awards were held at a Gala Dinner Presentation ceremony at London’s Institute of Directors, hosted by Floella Benjamin.

Pickfords won the ‘Creative Application of technology’ award for the introduction of an innovative digital product, which has provided huge operational efficiencies in the sales process and great time saving benefits to its customers. The product utilizes digital pen and paper technology, GPS functionality and SMS to facilitate fast, simple data collection and transmission from the field. Data and photography can be sent from a customer’s home back to operating system at the local Pickfords office, which means Pickfords can process surveys and quotations quickly, react to short notice moves and the sales team can spend less time administrating and more time with their customers.

John Denton collected the award for Pickfords and was joined at the Gala Dinner by Pickfords Head of Information Systems Lalil Saili.
