Van driving tips

• A small van is much higher than a car and you should be aware of the size of the vehicle at all times.
• Small vans do not turn on a sixpence!  They are also longer than the average car.  Make an allowance if your are manoevering in a tight space, or reversing
• Use your mirrors at all times to be aware of vehicles around you
• If you are carrying a heavy load,  move more slowly than you would in your own car.  A van carrying a heavy load takes longer to stop than a car.
• Be aware of blind spots around your vehicle,  take care when changing lanes, overtaking and look out for pedestrians and bicyclists
