The British Association of Removers sets the professional standards for the removals industry. Its members abide by its Code of Practice and undergo regular audits to ensure that the BAR’s quality standards are maintained and exceeded.

The BAR is a standards-based trade association and is the first to provide a compliance programme, its Code of Practice.

Customers who choose a Small Moves service which is also a member of the BAR can be assured that the company operates to the highest standards and with the interests of its customers at its core.

An independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme

As a member of the British Association of Removers, Pickfords offers customers and independent alternative dispute resolution scheme.

The BAR works with the Furniture Ombudsman, which is an independent party which can settle any disputes between a customer and its removals company. The Furniture Ombudsman is a fair and objective party and is empowered to settle any unresolved disputes and its decision is binding.
