A convenient, contact-free way to prepare your assignees for their move

At Pickfords Relocation, we understand that moving can be a busy and sometimes complex process. That's why we offer a streamlined video survey service, allowing us to complete a full assessment of your home contents without the need for an in-person visit. 

Our video survey service helps us to determine the volume and nature of the items to be moved, so we can provide an accurate quote and plan for a smooth relocation. 

What is a video survey?

A video survey is a virtual appointment with one of our experienced surveyors. Using your smartphone or tablet, you'll walk through your home while on a video call on the Pickfords app. Our surveyor will guide you through the process, taking note of the items to be packed and transported, including furniture, personal effects, fragile items and anything requiring special handling. 

This solution ensures both convenience and peace of mind for your assignees and their family. 

Preparing for the video survey 

To make the most of their appointment, your assignee needs to ensure their device is charged and has stable internet connection. It's helpful to have an idea of their walkthrough route and the items they need to highlight for concern or special value in advance. 

How does it work?

1. Booking the video survey: Once your assignees relocation is underway, we'll arrange a convenient time for their survey, fitting around their work and personal commitments.
2. Joining the video survey: At the scheduled time, your assignee will connect with one of our surveyors via the Pickfords app on a smartphone or tablet. 
3. Taking the surveyor around their home: With the surveyor guiding them through the process, they'll walk through each room, showing us the items that need to be moved. At this stage, they will be able to ask any questions or flag any concerns. 
4. Receiving their personalised move plan: Following the survey, we'll send a detailed, tailored move plan and quotation.
