Are you ready to lead a motivated team in a dynamic and hands-on role? Pickfords is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee our daily operations, ensuring the safe loading of vehicles and storage containers while maintaining our high standards of service.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of workers, ensuring compliance with all company procedures and standards.
- Ensure the safety, discipline, and workmanship of yourself and your team.
- Communicate clearly with customers, maintaining timetables and service expectations.
- Take responsibility for any project you are assigned to manage, whether that be a medium commercial move or something on a larger scale.
To excel in this role, you must be literate and numerate and hold a CPC Certificate. While a fork lift license is desirable, it is not essential.
Superior customer service skills are essential and you will need to consistently adhere to company instructions, policies, discipline and health and safety standards. This included accident reporting and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
We are looking for someone with high personal and professional standards, who has a cooperative attitude and excellent customer service skills. A clean driving license and record is also required.
Problem-solving skills are crucial, as you will need to address challenges that arise daily. Additionally, the ability to coach and train others is important, along with strong briefing skills and the capability to take necessary actions based on feedback.
