Community relations

We’ll Call You Back

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, we believe we should contribute to the communities we serve and engage our people, transport and resources to help achieve lasting social benefits. This involvement goes beyond simple donations to good causes. Pickfords encourages its employees to interact and take part in the communities that support their local branch.

We aim to actively engage with our local communities to use our resources, skills and knowledge to achieve long term relationships.

We contribute to the community in various ways:

  • Collecting unwanted items on move day to raise money for The Salvation Army
  • Carrying The Salvation Army messages on our cartons to raise awareness
  • Employees give their time to support local organisations
  • Providing transport to help local community groups
  • Sponsorship of local initiatives to benefit local community groups
  • Donating unwanted furniture collected during business move to charities, schools and start ups
