Ensuring your pet’s comfort

Our partner will provide a provide a perfectly-sized travel carrier

Our Pet Travel partner will provide an airline-approved travel carrier, if you do not have one. Travel carriers must comply with IATA regulations for the transport of your pet by air. The travel carrier must be large enough for your pet to be able to stand, sit, turn around and lie in comfortably. This is why it is important for us to measure your pet during the survey, so we can supply a suitable plastic or made-to-measure wooden carrier.

All travel carriers include water bowls and are lined with a VetBed to ensure your pet has a comfortable and dry bed to relax on during their journey.  Pheromone sprays (Adaptil or Feliway) will be used in the carriers to create a relaxing environment.

A VetBed for travel

VetBed is the most effective fabric developed for use pet transport. It's warm, cosy, hygienic, and has excellent drainage properties, allowing liquid to drain throughout to an absorbent layer beneath. VetBed ensures that your pet will make its journey in complete comfort.

Measuring your pet

Your Move Manager will arrange a survey of your home with a local International Move Consultant to determine the volume of your household goods which need to be moved. 

While in your home, your International Move Consultant will also ask about your pet, take his or her name and show you how to measure them to ensure our pet travel partner can arrange the perfect-sized travel carrier. These details will be sent back to your Move Manager, together with a photograph of your pet for our reference.

Your Pet Travel Consultant

Your Move Manager will then introduce you to Starwood Animal Transport, our Pet Travel Consultant.

Our Pet Travel partner focuses only on moving pets to new destinations overseas. Your Pet Travel Consultant has years of experience and is familiar with all the regulations governing the movement of pets abroad. Your Pet Travel Consultant will discuss all the details of your pet’s travel plans and will advise you of the steps you need to take to ensure your pet can travel by air.
