Designing a made-to-measure travel carrier
Pickfords will provide an airline-approved travel carrier, if you do not have one. Travel carriers must comply with IATA regulations to ensure your pet travels securely and comfortably.
Collection and preparation for flight
Wherever possible, we will collect your pet from your home in a small, air-conditioned vehicle and take him or her to our kennels and cattery the day before their flight. While staying with us, they will see our vet and are exercised regularly. To ensure they are tired and have run off all their excess energy, we exercise all dogs in our secure exercise are prior to check-in.
Tracking their journey
We will give you access to a flight tracking system, so you can watch your pet’s progress as they fly to your new home.
On arrival
We can arrange customs clearance and onward delivery to your new home.
If required, our overseas offices and trusted partner agents can handle all the arrivals process, including customs clearance, booking and transfer to quarantine if needed and then, most importantly, deliver you pet to your new home.
