UK's statement of changes

The new Labour Government published their first statement of changes on the 10th of September 2024. The changes are made into effect from 3pm of 10th of September till 11th March 2025. 

  • Jordan nationals now require a visa to visit and transit UK. Jordans no longer will be able to use their Electronic Travel Authorisation to travel to the UK. 
  • Implementation of the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation Scheme. Nationals who does require a visa for a short stay in the UK would need to get the ETA before travelling. As the first phase Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, UAE and Saudi Arabia national need to get ETA followed by other visa free nationals in January and to the Europeans from April 2025. 

Turkey’s new digital nomad visa

Turkey is offering nomad visa for the following countries Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America & Canada. The visa is for stay of up to 90 days for the university graduates between the ages of 21 and 55.

Canada ends application of work permit made inside the country for tourists

During the Covid Pandemic in 2020, Canada introduced a policy that allowed visitors who were unable to leave Canada to apply for work permit within the country. This policy was supposed to end in February 2025 but the government has ended the policy with immediate effect.. 

Applications received before August 28, 2024 will not get affected with the new changes.
